Who is behind Festicar?
Festicar is a small, innovative company founded in January 2023, in response to the announcement by the Ministry of Culture concerning the conditionalisation of subsidies to the effort for ecological transition. Aware of the environmental challenges and keen to help reduce the carbon footprint of cultural events, we have developed a car-sharing platform specially designed for festival audiences.
Based in Occitanie, near Toulouse, Festicar is the fruit of collaboration between digital entrepreneurs and cultural professionals. Our team brings together experts in design, web development and digital technologies, as well as music producers with a passion for organising major events. This unique combination of skills enables us to offer a solution that is both technically sound and deeply rooted in the realities of the cultural sector.

A family project
Behind this ambitious project is the REMY family. We are four young entrepreneurs who grew up in a family always full of projects.
In 2023, the 4 of us found a project we were passionate about, combining culture and ecology. From the small village of Lafrançaise in the Tarn-et-Garonne region, we are designing and developing a new solution dedicated to festivals and their audiences.
As this project has grown, we've called on new people to support us with their expertise and motivation. We're a technically sound and ambitious team, but above all, we like working together!
Festicar is a key player in the sustainable transformation of festivals in France, facilitating access to events while minimising the environmental impact of travel. Our platform makes it easy for festival-goers to connect with each other and organise car-sharing journeys, thereby reducing the number of vehicles on the road and the associated CO2 emissions. By offering an eco-friendly and user-friendly transport alternative, Festicar is actively participating in the transition towards more responsible and sustainable festivals.
Festicar was created in response to a dual challenge: thegrowing environmental impact of cultural structures and the need to facilitate access to its events for an ever wider audience. Festivals, although they are moments of gathering and cultural celebration, also generate a significant carbon footprint, mainly linked to the travel of festival-goers. Individual transport often accounts for the largest share of CO2 emissions associated with these events.
With the announcement by the Ministry of Culture in 2023 that festival subsidies would be conditional on their commitment to ecological transition, it has become essential for organisers to find practical solutions to reduce their environmental impact. It's against this backdrop that Festicar was born.
The environment at the heart of our project
For each and every one of us, the environment is an important part of our philosophical reflection on our place in this world.
We're particularly enthusiastic about working on this new project, because we want to make a positive contribution in our own way, and help the cultural sector make its ecological transition.
By studying the public and their carpooling habits, we'll be able to create more appropriate mobility solutions.
